This 20-acre, state-of-the-art research center is located in a section of San Diego that is not typically known for housing R&D facilities. Over the course of a year, various strategies were examined to maximize ROI. Rather than converting the nearly 200,000-square-foot building into a multi-tenant office, we sought to begin generating near-term revenue by finding the right tenant. That tenant, Fate Therapeutics, was seeking the entire space, so the property was completely customized to fit their specific needs.
